The Materials and Techniques Le Ndomo uses
The main material is 100% organic cotton. (Certified by Helvetas)
The different techniques used by Le Ndomo for the fabrication of its fabrics are:
- The small cotton band woven in the traditional manner.
- The wide cotton woven fabric made on improved looms.
The different techniques for creating the natural dyes are:
- Basilan: Yellow ocher and brown
- Bogolan: Black, brown and Yellow ocher
- Gala: Different shades of blue from natural indigo.
- Green: Obtained by adding Basilan yellow ocher to Gala Indigo blue.
